#13 - Film Fest (Sundance Overflow Bar & Great Dane Hilldale)

We grabbed beers at an overflow bar that was set up in the lobby of Sundance.  As overflow bars go it was pretty nice.  A quality of the beer selection was top notch.  Medium scores for ambiance though since we drank our beers waiting in a looooooooooooooong line to get into Komiko, the Treasure Hunter.  It is a nice feature that you can bring drinks into the theater at Sundance.

Nobody though the movie was going to be in the running for Best Picture, but it was interesting enough to spark a good debate.  Spoiler Alert!  That last scene never really happened because she's dead.

When we got to the Dane the main bar was closed, but in back they were still serving food.  We learned that UConn beat Kentucky for the NCAA championship.  Nobody cared much.

Pro Tip #1:  If the front bar the back bar might still be open.
Pro Tip #2: Nachos

Unofficial: The Library

We'd all driven past The Library, that small Madison bar tucked in what is essentially the median between University Ave and Campus Drive, but none of us had ever been there.  So after seeing a screening of Lunarcy at the Union South as part of the Wisconsin Film Festival we three intrepid taverngoers set out into traffic to have a beer at The Library.
Getting there is a bit like playing a real life game of Frogger, but if you successfully dodge traffic you'll find yourself at a surprisingly cozy bar with a good beer selection and decent people watching.  I think we were all pleasantly surprised.
