#12 - The Tip Top Tavern

The tip top is a nice little hipster bar that is situated in the shadow of Oscar Meyer.  Apparently it's been there forever under the same name, but has recently been updated by folks affiliated with Lazy Jane's and Mickey's.  The night we were there Wisconsin was playing Baylor in the NCAA tournament and the house was evenly divided between loud drunk people in red huddled around the sole TV and quite hipsters in the corner trading LP's.
Good neighborhood bar feel.  Exotic beers and a good looking food menu...  Though I have to say our cheese curds were over cooked (if such a thing is possible).
Pro-Tip #1: Between the unmarked bar filled with old timers across the street one way and the building across the street in the other direction that looks like a likely candidate for ground-zero of the zombie apocalypse I'd say you probably want to try to park in the lot.
Pro Tip #2: There is a sign on the back door that says to use the front door, but people don't seem to pay much attention to that.
Pro Tip #3: Watch out for clowns.
