It was film fest night and we had tickets to see Drunk Stoned Brilliant Dead at the MMoCA. We started the evening across the street at Nick's, an old school brown liquor joint on State. The movie was great. A fire hose of comedy mixed with some really interesting history. Amazingly there doesn't seem to be a trailer for the movie online. If you have any interest in National Lampoon or Saturday Night Live it's worth seeing.
From there it was off to the Sett to try to catch the end of the Foxygen show. It was a free show, but it turned out that you still needed a ticket. All we could do was sit in the booths in the outer part of the bar where we could hear the music, and when we went up to order a beer we could see the show, but is was a bit of a downer to be locked out.
From there we went across the street to the Library. A bar which has been featured on this block before.
